Steelers linebacker Cole Holcomb will be out for the season following a knee injury described as “serious.”
Holcomb spent the night at a Pittsburgh hospital. He will need surgery to make a full recovery.
He sustained the injury while dropping into coverage against DeAndre Hopkins. After Hopkins caught the ball, safety Keanu Neal dropped down to make the tackle, hitting Holcomb’s knee. This led to Holcomb clutching his knee in pain.
The Steelers ended up winning the game 20-16 against the Tennessee Titans.
