Former NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman is the latest athlete to angrily call out CM Punk, but he claims to have a past with the UFC star. And on “At the Buzzer,” he described his history with the wrestler.
“I would do a lot of things to him,” Merriman told co-host Don Bell. “I wouldn’t just want to beat him. I’d want to demolish him for the whole entire fight. I wouldn’t want to pin him, wouldn’t want to knock him out. I just want to make him feel pain for every round. I’m going for the kill shot every single time.”
“We have a little beef. We had a little history,” according to Merriman. “I was talking to a friend, Eve, who I met, who is a commentator/broadcaster for WWE… We had a good conversation, she walked off and next thing I know, [CM Punk] goes out and puts on Twitter…that I got dissed by one of the WWE women.”
