Actress Shailene Woodley confirmed that she and Aaron Rodgers are engaged during Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This comes amid rumors after Rodgers thanked Woodley as his “fiancée” during his third MVP acceptance speech earlier this month.
Woodley, 28, starred in the Divergent film trilogy and the HBO series Big Little Lies. The actress revealed on the talk show that she and Rodgers got engaged “a while ago.”
Woodley revealed that she has not seen the quarterback play nor had she watched a football game before meeting Rodgers. “I never really grew up with sports, especially American sports. It was never on my radar,” she explained. “When we met also, I knew he was a football guy, but I didn’t know what kind of a football guy he was, and I’m still constantly learning.”
Despite that, the actress stated she sees him as something else rather than a football player. She told the audience, “I don’t know him as a football guy! I know him as like, the nerd who wants to host Jeopardy, you know? That’s the dude I know.”
