Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been accused of abuse by multiple women following his battery arrest during the summer, a Wisconsin police department has now revealed.
Jacobs was arrested in the summer following an incident with his ex-girlfriend, when he allegedly threw her to the ground and destroyed her phone. In September, Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal property damage. This allowed him to avoid prison time and pay a $1,000 fine and court fees. The court will dismiss the charges after Jacobs fulfills several conditions for 12 months.

The Hobart/Lawrence police claim to have video footage that supports the accuser’s allegations against Jacobs. A recent court ruling gave the department the power to release the video; however, it has not been made public.

On Oct.30, the department released partially redacted records of allegations against Jacobs; he returned to the Packers midseason after starting the season on the commissioner’s exempt list. The NFL is still investigating Jacobs over his arrest in May, and it is unclear how the new allegations could affect the investigation.
The new allegations come from Jacobs’ tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders, two years before his move to the Packers. Several women claim that he became abusive with them after they denied his sexual advances. There are claims of Jacobs taking and destroying their phones, according to Hobart/Lawrence police.
Jacobs’ attorneys released a statement following these allegations.
“The Brown County District Attorney’s office had these uncorroborated, old, and previously unreported allegations for months,” said attorneys David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld and Clarence F. Duchac III.
“They conducted their own exhaustive investigation, along with the police department, and the D.A. determined that only two misdemeanor charges were warranted. They then entered into a plea agreement with Josh Jacobs. Josh has repeatedly expressed his remorse and is honoring the terms of the agreement.”
Following his arrest in May, one woman reached out to Hobart/Lawrence police to say she had a similar experience with him around 2023; she then corrected herself and claimed the incident occurred on January 5, 2022.
The woman said she spent 11 hours at Jacobs’ home, where he became violent when she refused sex. Jacobs allegedly slapped the woman, spit on her and tossed her phone in his pool as she attempted to leave.
Another allegation came from April 2021; the accuser stated that Jacobs became violent during a sexual encounter when she told him the condom broke. An argument began, and Jacobs allegedly physically removed her from the residence.
In 2022, Jacob allegedly met another woman through social media and flew her to his residence, where she said he grabbed her hair, head and neck, dragged her, scratched her chest and took her phone after discovering it on the floor.
According to Hobart/Lawrence police, Jacobs’ accuser said she had been looking through his phone and saw he was talking to other women. She said she threw the phone in anger without breaking it and added that she had permitted Jacobs to look through her phone.
Police said the woman indicated she then tried to retrieve the phone from Jacobs, but he grabbed her arm and began a struggle that lasted several minutes. According to police, the woman was trying to exit a garage door when Jacobs grabbed her and threw her to the ground, causing her to hit her head. Police said Jacobs also took the phone from her while she was on the ground.
Attorneys for both Jacobs and his victim are fighting the release of the garage surveillance video.
