Seton Hall Pirates guard Myles Powell in January 2018 (Shupirates/Wikipedia)
The Seton Hall Pirates men’s basketball team is set to open its 2019-20 campaign on Nov. 5 at home versus the Wagner Seahawks.
The hype around this Seton Hall team, ranked No. 12 nationally, is real. Myles Powell, the Pirates’ senior guard and consummate leader, has proven himself on the court time and time again. Over his four-year career, he has built an extremely strong rapport with his teammates. Powell is expected to lead them deep into March.
The Pirates also have a very deep rotation this year and can use any variable number of combinations in order to beat teams on both ends of the court. This will be especially important, as their non-conference schedule this year is much more difficult than in years past. While they might struggle at times, the Pirates should do well ahead of the NCAA Tournament in March.
