Security Tells Angry Rangers Fan Nick Mangold To Calm Down

For the second time this year, New York Jets center Nick Mangold attended a Rangers game at Madison Square Garden in New York and harassed their opponents, the Pittsburgh Penguins, to no end.

Security Tells Angry Rangers Fan Nick Mangold To Calm Down

Mangold, who was seen wearing a blue Rangers sweater during the Penguins’ 3-1 Game 3 victory on Tuesday, displayed similar behavior during a Rangers game against the Dallas Stars on Jan. 5.

Shortly before the beginning of the third period of Tuesday’s game, Mangold was spotted shouting at the Penguins bench and appeared so out of control that security was forced to come over a few times to tell him to calm down, according to a source. The Rangers declined to offer any comment.

Mangold, 32, was specifically going after Penguins assistant coach Rick Tocchet and star center Sidney Crosby. A source claimed Mangold pointed at them and leaned over the railing to talk trash. When approached by The Post afterward and asked about it, Mangold walked away, waved his hand and said: “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Mangold attended the game along with free-agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jets wide receiver Eric Decker.

Decker also shared a video on Instagram to mark their attendance:
