Sam Darnold & Jets Teammates Criticized For Rowdy Partying After Big Win Over Oakland

Following the New York Jets massive win over the Oakland Raiders last Sunday, some players indulged at Bounce Sporting Club in the Flatiron District of New York City. Among them, star quarterback and face of the franchise, Sam Darnold. Sources on the scene say the team seemed as though they were celebrating like they had won the Super Bowl and that Darnold was wasted and hooking up with a girl. A limo drove them around all night. Others who joined Darnold were Jamal Adams, Trumaine Johnson, Darryl Roberts, Brian Poole and Marcus Maye. Roberts turned 29 on Tuesday so the celebration seemed appropriate for a birthday. It was observed that the other guys had to look out for Darnold all night, but that his team protects him on and off the field. Being the big name, it’s no wonder the young quarterback has friends everywhere to watch his back.

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

The former USC Trojan was the third pick overall in the 2018 draft by the Jets. His 2019 season has started out decent with a completion percentage of 60.1% following 407 completions on 677 attempts. He has passed for 4,780 yards with 30 touchdowns and 25 interceptions. Praised for his mobility in the pocket, Darnold has been compared to superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Prior to the luxurious night out, the Jets (4-7) came away with a huge victory over the Raiders (6-5) with a final score of 34-3. Darnold went 20-29 with 315 yards and two touchdowns. Le’veon Bell ran for 49 yards on 12 carries, while Robby Anderson held strong with four receptions for a total of 86 yards and one touchdown. With a playoff push potentially out of the cards, the Jets have still fought back from a disappointing start to show their true potential as a rising football franchise.
