During the BNP Paribas Showdown in Madison Square Garden, Roger Federer was taking on Grigor Dimitrov in an exhibition match. Usually during these types of events, the pressure is turned way down and the players get to have fun with the crowd.
And during this match, Grigor pulled a young boy, in jeans and a hoodie, out of the crowd to play the point for him. Now, while Roger obviously was taking it easy on him, the kid showed he could play, returning the 17-time Grand Slam champion’s serve and hitting some fairly skilled shots.
But the best part came as Federer approached the net. The young boy lobbed the former number one in the world with ease, winning the point for Dimitrov. The crowd went nuts and Roger could not believe it.
