Robert Alford Picks Off Tom Brady, Falcons Lead 21-3

First, 22-year-old tight end Austin Hooper caught a deep pass from quarterback Matt Ryan to give the Atlanta Falcons a 14-0 lead with 8:48 left in the second quarter.

Then, cornerback Robert Alford picked off Tom Brady and returned it 82 yards to make it 21-0 with just over two minutes remaining in the first half. Here’s the interception:

The Patriots only managed a field goal to put the score at 21-3 at halftime.

Seems like New England will need to do some serious work on the offensive front to catch up after this thrashing in the first half of Super Bowl LI.
