Rob Gronkowski Spotted Working Out With Tom Brady At UCLA Despite Declaring Retirement

Rob Gronkowski announced in March that he would be retiring from the NFL after the New England Patriots won the 2018-19 Super Bowl. Gronkowski suffered from a multitude of injuries including a back issue, and decided his time in the NFL was over. But NFL experts believe that Gronk could come back in due time, and more proof of that was displayed on Tuesday after he was seen working out at UCLA with his former quarterback, Tom Brady.

Gronk was asked why he was working with Brady, he said, “Tom needs someone to throw to. So, you know, he calls Mr. Reliable, Robbie G, the one and only,” according to TMZ Sports.

Brady seems to be staying sharp ahead of the preseason training camp coming in three weeks, and who better to work with than his former nine-year partner and All-Pro tight end. According to Bleacher Report, multiple Patriot players believe he will come back for one more season if the Pats are in playoff contention in the next season, saying he will miss playing in the fall. Gronk is just 30-years-old, and with time to recover his body and refresh his mind, he may be fit to return to be a star again in Brady’s offense. Coach Bill Belichick certainly doesn’t lack talent in the receiver room, with Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman returning, along with Josh Gordon and their new signing Demaryius Thomas, the former Denver Broncos head receiver.

Gronkowski also seems to be enjoying his time in retirement, losing 18 pounds just a few months after the announcement, and continuing his partying ways months after he got his third Super Bowl ring under Belichick. He was also seen competing in the Monster Energy Charity Challenge where celebrities played in a basketball game to raise money on Tuesday.

According to Pro Football talk, Gronk has said that he was enjoying his time in retirement, but doesn’t know how he’ll feel come the next season.

Gronkowski finished his career with 521 receptions, just shy of 80 total touchdowns and 7,861 receiving yards with Brady and the Patriots.
