Rio Olympics Medals Race Day 7: US Leads, China And Japan Follow For Top Three

The United States continues to lead the Olympic medal count in Rio, with Team USA racking up 38 medals as of Friday morning (Day 7). The US also has the most gold medals (16).

China is the runner up with 31 medals (11 gold), while Japan is third with 22 medals (7 gold).

Rounding out the top 10 are Russia, (19) Great Britain, (16) Australia, (15) Italy, (12) France (12), South Korea (11) and Germany (8).
