As we head into the beginning of Day 7 of the Rio Olympics, the United States continues to lead the total medal tally by a more than comfortable margin with 69 (26 gold), while China is the runner up with 45 (15 gold). Great Britain has replaced Japan in third with 38 total medals (15 gold).
Rounding out the top 10 are Russia (30), Japan (26), France (22), Australia (22), Italy (21), Germany (17) and South Korea (14).
