Ravens’ Lamar Jackson Returns, Still Can’t Taste Or Smell

Lamar Jackson was finally back in action against the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday night. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback was out because he tested positive for COVID-19.

Jackson returned as the Ravens were able to complete a rout of the Cowboy’s defense by rushing. Jackson was able to run for 94 yards, and a touchdown as Raven’s rushing offense overwhelmed Dallas. Baltimore finished with 294 rushing yards in their 34-17 win on Tuesday night.

Jackson was just one of 23 Raven’s players that spent time on the injury/COVID-19 reserve list. The Ravens are one of the NFL teams to have been devastated by COVID-19. They still have a half-dozen players on the COVID-19 list.

Wide receiver Dez Bryant was expected to make his grand return but did not. Bryant tested positive for coronavirus during warmups. He was not allowed to play and is expected to be placed on the injury/COVID-19 reserve list.

Although Jackson has recovered from the coronavirus, he still cannot taste or smell, yet. Jackson said, “I had a little flu-like symptoms. I still can’t really taste or smell, but I’m good now. That’s an effect that comes [with COVID-19]. I guess my sense of taste and smell are going to come back sooner than later, but I’m good now. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody, though. It’s not good to have.”
