Raven’s Lamar Jackson Is The Latest QB To Leave With Injury

The Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. He left the game wearing a boot and did not play the second half in the team’s 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans.

The NFL has seen a lot of stars go down this season so far, especially at quarterback. According to Ian Rapoport, Jackson’s injury isn’t as serious as some of the others and is listed as day-to-day.

Ravens Head Coach Jesse Minter didn’t seem too concerned when he spoke with the media, saying he was dealing with “a bit of an ankle” and that the team would have to see how severe it is later.

Jackson limped off the field after being sacked just before halftime, which is when the injury occurred.

He is expected to receive an MRI on Monday morning, according to reports, to further evaluate the severity and timetable of his injury.

A familiar face returned to Baltimore this offseason: backup QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley. The backup first signed with Baltimore in 2020 and spent four seasons there, including an incredible Pro Bowl selection in 2022-2023.

Fans voted Huntley in as the fourth alternate to the Pro Bowl, which is one of the more unique storylines in recent NFL history. His 2-2 record in relief of Jackson that season, after a Week 13 injury got the Ravens into the playoffs, won him the votes needed to be named to the Pro Bowl Roster.

Huntley then moved on to the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns during his time away from the Ravens, but is now again the man who would fill Jackson’s role if he were to miss any time.

Further updates on Jackson should be released once the MRI is complete. Jackson has only played a full 17-game season once in his career.
