Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics: Day 11 (Feb. 20) Medal Count

The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang have proved a thrilling race that is tight among certain nations, and here is the medal count entering Tuesday.

Norway still leads with 29 medals (11 gold), and Germany (23 total, 11 gold) and Canada (19 total, 8 gold) follow in second and third, respectively.

Team USA is still sixth like it was Monday, although it has two more medals (bronze) to raise their total to 12 (5 gold). American Brita Sigourney finished third in the women’s ski halfpipe, and siblings Alex and Maia Shibutani won bronze in the ice dance free skate final Tuesday.

France has jumped to fifth from eighth with 13 medals (5 gold), winning three medals Tuesday: a gold and two silvers. Martin Fourcade edged Germany’s Simon Schempp to win the men’s 15-kilometer mass biathlon by a tiny margin.

The Olympic Athletes from Russia, who were fifth on Monday, are now seventh after winning no medals Tuesday.
