Pro Bowl Left Guard Landon Dickerson ON IR – What Does It Mean For The Eagles?

The Philadelphia Eagles are placing three-time Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson on IR because of a knee injury. Dickerson will miss at least the next four games.

Dickerson played in Week 1 against the Washington Commanders, where he allowed multiple pressures and appeared to lack full mobility.

Dickerson appeared on WIP’s Players Lounge Show, where he stated that he “played like s—” in their 24-22 victory.

“I was a complete liability. It was my fault. I should not be out there until I feel healthy,” he said.

In recent years, Dickerson has racked up lower-body ailments. Last season, he underwent surgery to repair an injured meniscus in August 2025 and appeared in 15 games. He was not himself and acknowledged this offseason that he should not have returned to play so quickly.

Over the offseason, Dickerson traveled to Colombia for stem cell therapy. He found it beneficial, but he still did not look back at his peak throughout training camp and in the Week 1 game against the Commanders.

Dickerson said the injury is unrelated to last year’s and that he was rolled up on in practice a few weeks ago. He described the injury as a bone bruise in his right knee that he was told would not heal if he kept banging it up.

“Really the best plan going forward is to put me on IR so I can have a good stretch at the back end of the season,” he said. “I don’t think anybody wants to see that again. That was ugly. That was BS.”

The Eagles drafted Drew Kendall in the fifth round of the 2025 draft. He enjoyed a strong offseason and is now a strong candidate to replace Dickerson in the lineup.

“He’s tough as heck; we’ve won a ton of games with Landon, and there’s a lot of good things that he can do. Just like every player on our team from yesterday’s game and every coach, for that matter, there are good moments, and there are moments that we’ve got to fix. That’s where we are,” coach Nick Sirianni said on Monday.

Should Dickerson recover within four weeks, he would be able to suit up in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers
