Detroit Pistons Center Andre Drummond set a new NBA record for missed free throws on Wednesday after he missed 23 out of 36 attempts during the Pistons’ victory over the Houston Rockets.
Former Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers Center Wilt Chamberlain held the previous record in 1967 with 22 misses. The Rockets’ Dwight Howard currently holds the record for attempts with 39, and Drummond comes in at third with 36.
Detroit defeated Houston 123-114 to improve their record to 23-19. Drummond led the Pistons with 11 rebounds and scored 17 points.
