The votes were cast by PFA members from 100 clubs from the Premier League, Football League and Super Women’s League.

The divisional teams of the year have also been revealed just days before the 44th PFA Awards, which are scheduled to occur in London on Sunday, April 23.

The PFA Players’ Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year will also be named at the event.

The Championship team of the year, meanwhile, features four players from Brighton: goalkeeper David Stockdale, defenders Bruno and Lewis Dunk and the division’s player of the year, midfielder Anthony Knockaert.

Also on that team are three Newcastle stars: defender Jamaal Lascelles, midfielder Jonjo Shelvey and forward Dwight Gayle.

Fulham contribute two players to the Championship team, 16-year-old defender Ryan Sessegnon and midfielder Tom Cairney. The two remaining players are Leeds forward Chris Wood, the club’s top scorer with 25 league goals, and Huddersfield midfielder Aaron Mooy.
