Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning recently got bad news regarding his long-term health, an inevitable part of his aging process.
On Wednesday, Manning revealed details of a recent conversation with his doctor, who told him that he would likely need to have hip replacement surgery sometime in the near future.
“Thanks, doc, I didn’t really need to know that,” Manning said, laughing.
The news probably came as a surprise because Manning has not appeared to have had any sort of hip injury, and was not particularly known for being a running quarterback. Nevertheless, the veteran QB has taken a wide array of hits over the course of his 18-year career in the NFL, including four neck surgeries and a spinal fusion procedure.
