The Golden State Warriors are signing Otto Porter Jr. to a one-year minimum contract.
With big money already in the pockets of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors are hoping Porter can be a cost-efficient member of Steve Kerr’s rotation while reestablishing a stock that’s taken a dip in the last several years.
Porter has appeared in just 42 games over the last two seasons primarily due to injuries, splitting time with the Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic. But the former No. 3 overall pick is in his prime at 28 years old and sports a career 40.2 3-point percentage.
His 6’8’’ frame and 7’1’’ wingspan should also add to what was already a top-five defense a season ago.
