Everything seems to be going wrong for the Miami Dolphins.
In another disappointing outing for Mike McDaniel‘s side – this time a 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football – tensions flared on the sidelines during the second quarter between running back Ollie Gordon II and running backs coach Eric Studesville.
The referees called a tripping penalty on Gordon shortly after the first quarter. The penalty cost the Dolphins 15 yards, which ultimately led to a punt at their own 47-yard line.
Following the penalty, cameras picked up Gordon’s escalation with Studesville on the sidelines, appearing to get into a heated argument. The rookie proceeded to slam his helmet into the ground before being consulted by teammates.

The incident adds to the list of struggles the Dolphins are facing in 2025. Thursday’s loss puts Miami down to 2-7 on the year, well short of contending for the AFC East crown.
Despite the stumbles, McDaniel is expected to stay as head coach for the remainder of the season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. General manager Chris Grier mutually parted ways with the franchise on Friday morning, the team announced.
