Notts County Soccer Players Fake An Argument To Score A Goal

A few days ago, Arsenal was taking on Notts County in the Women’s Super League. And one specific play from the matchup has gone viral.

With just over 27 minutes into the game, Notts got a free kick, which was supposed to be kicked by Lauren Bassett. But when she ran toward the ball, teammate Alex Greenwood stopped her mid stride, causing what appeared to be an argument.

However, the argument was a ruse as Greenwood passed the ball to Ellen White, who scored a goal on the surprised Arsenal goalkeeper. This play was obviously practiced and flawlessly executed: Bassett alone deserves an Oscar for her performance.
