Darvish delivered five strong innings in Game 3 of the NLDS last week against Arizona, allowing one run on two hits, walking none and striking out seven. Hendricks, meanwhile, was outstanding in Game 1 of the NLDS against Washington but allowed four runs on nine hits in four frames in Game 5.

CC Sabathia (14-5, 3.69 ERA) will start for the Yankees. The righty out-pitched Cleveland’s Corey Kluber twice in the ALDS, and has now gone 9-5 in 20 playoff starts. Right-hander Charlie Morton (14-7, 3.62 ERA) will take the mound for Houston. Morton held Boston to two runs on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings in the ALDS while fanning six and walking two. His 3.62 ERA during the regular season was his lowest since 2013.
