NFL Preseason Week 4 – Browns Vs. Eagles (Aug. 23): Time Start, Channel, Players To Watch

The Cleveland Browns will host the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night for a Week 4 preseason matchup, and here is what you need to know.

Eagles vs. Browns preseason preview

The game will start at 8 p.m. EST and will air on FOX. Thus far this preseason, Philadelphia is 0-2 and Cleveland is 1-1. More importantly, the Browns went winless (0-16) last season and are 1-31 in the past two years. In 2016, Cleveland passed on quarterback Carson Wentz, who has since delivered prolific performances for the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles despite becoming injured late last season.

Despite their previous two abysmal seasons, many NFL fans believe the Browns will actually be successful this year (whether or not this is mainly because of new offensive players like Mayfield and Taylor remains unclear).

Thursday will also be a chance for Browns fans to see how newly-acquired former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry performs, and whether rookie running back Nick Chubb — Cleveland’s second-round draft pick out of Georgia — can deliver a strong outing as well.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said reigning Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles will play Thursday even though he continues to recover from a shoulder strain.
