The No. 5-seed West Virginia Mountaineers will face the top-seeded Villanova Wildcats in a third-round NCAA matchup on Friday, and here is everything you need to know.

Villanova vs. West Virginia Sweet 16 Preview

West Virginia (26-10) reached the Sweet 16 by defeating Marshall 94-71 in their last game. Jevon Carter led the Mountaineers with 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting with 5 threes, 5 assists and 4 steals. Carter leads WVU with an average of 17.4 points and 6.6 assists per game.

Villanova, meanwhile, routed Alabama 81-58 in their last outing. Mikal Bridges led the Wildcats with 23 points on 7-of-16 shooting with 5 threes and two blocks. Omari Spellman grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds in the win. Jalen Brunson leads ‘Nova with an average of 19.1 points and 4.7 assists per game.

As a team, the Wildcats own the the top scoring offense in the nation with 86.9 points per game on the 5th-best field goal percentage in the nation at 50.3 percent.
