NBA Debuts LGBT Rainbow-Logo Tees In Support Of ‘Pride Month’

Adam Silver just gets it.

The NBA commissioner first, shrewdly, signed off on an agreement in March for the league to begin displaying corporate logos on the actual jerseys worn during the game, and now another stroke of genius for the slinky, slender, Silver.

Already rubbing shoulders with the most profitable professional sports league in the U.S., the NFL, the NBA’s new commish informed the public about his latest stroke of genius: T-shirts featuring rainbow logos for each of the 30 NBA franchises, according to The Washington Times.

GLSEN/NBA PSA ON TOLERANCE FROM 2011

Basketball’s top boss, wrapping up his third season at the helm of the NBA, indicated last month that he would pull the All-Star game from North Carolina if the state does not rescind HB2, also know as the “Bathroom Bill,” but formerly referred to as the Public Facilities and Privacy Act.

HB2 requires individuals in the state of North Carolina to use public restrooms that correlate to their sex, as it appears on their birth certificate, refusing to recognize any evolution in an individual’s gender identity.

Silver made it clear, when he sent Donald Sterling packing, that the NBA would become a bastion of tolerance and a beacon of acceptance in the sports world.

Now the league of Lebron, Steph and the Durantchula will be positioned to rake in profits from all corners of the beautiful melting pot that is America, and beyond.

Silver’s latest stroke of genius sells for $24.95 per tee and will remain on-sale for the next two weeks.
