“I’m so excited for the city of Nashville and so proud that we’ve been selected as the host city for the 2019 NFL Draft,” Titans controlling owner and co-chairman Amy Adams Strunk said in a press conference. “As we all know, Nashville has a well-deserved reputation as a city that loves the big stage and loves a big party … we’re looking forward to April of next year.”

This year, the Draft was held in Dallas, and Philadelphia hosted the event in 2017. “Congrats to Amy and obviously the city of Nashville. You’re now on the clock. So you’re in trouble,” commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday.

Country music star Carrie Underwood, a Nashville native, voiced her elation about the city being chosen as the next Draft’s host in a Twitter post.

Among the Nashville venues and landmarks that have been suggested to play host to fans interested in partaking in NFL Draft festivities are the Ascend Amphitheater, Nissan Stadium, Broadway and First Avenue as well as the Predators’ Bridgestone Arena, according to ESPN.
