Naismith Basketball Hall Of Fame 2017 Ceremony Preview: Inductees, Start Time, Channel

The 2017 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony will be held at Springfield Symphony Hall in Springfield, Mass. on Friday night, and here is everything you need to know to watch the event:

This year’s 11 inductees include former Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets shooting guard/small forward Tracy McGrady, (seven-time NBA All-Star, age 38), former UConn Huskies and New York Liberty center Rebecca Lobo (an Olympic gold medalist), and 54-year-old Kansas men’s basketball coach Bill Self (a two-time AP College Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2016 who has led the Jayhawks to 14 straight NCAA tournament appearances, a national title in 2008, and two Final Four appearances in 2008 and 2012).

Also being enshrined this year are Notre Dame women’s basketball coach Muffet McGraw, who has led the Fighting Irish ladies to 22 straight NCAA tournament appearances and five consecutive Final Fours (2011-2015), as well as a national championship in 2001. McGraw is a two-time AP Coach of the Year (2013, 2014).

Late Chicago Bulls executive Jerry Krausewho managed the team during all six of its championships in the 1990s and was twice named NBA Executive of the Year, is also being inducted this year.

Rounding out the list are Zack Clayton, a former New York Renaissance guard and Harlem Globetrotter, Tom Jernstedt, a former NCAA administrator and member of both the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, former Globetrotters star, owner and CEO Mannie Jackson, Greek former Boston Celtics star Niko Galis, former Indiana Pacers star and three-time NBA All-Star George McGinnis, and Robert Hughes, the all-time winningest boys high school coach, coaching at two schools in Fort Worth, Texas, while collecting 1,333 wins. For 47 seasons, he coached at Dunbar and I.M. Terrell, ultimately winning five state championships.
