On September 29, 2007, former NBA player Kwame Brown was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer.
Brown’s cousin was pulled over for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Brown appeared at the scene, claimed the vehicle was his, and he became confrontational with the officer.

Brown was taken into custody and released on bond. There are no public records that show he was convicted of the charges.

Brown entered the 2001 NBA Draft straight out of high school, and he was selected first overall by the Washington Wizards. Being the first overall pick comes with high expectations, and unfortunately, Brown is considered one of the biggest busts in NBA history.
During Brown’s 12-year career, he only had one season with an above-average player efficiency rating.
Brown played for seven teams in the NBA, and he retired after the 2012-13 season.
