PHOENIX, AZ - MAY 17: Brandon Drury #27 of the Arizona Diamondbacks tags out Jose Reyes #7 of the New York Mets at second base during the second inning at Chase Field on May 17, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The New York Mets lost their four-game home series opener 3-2 to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night, and the two teams will face off again at Citi Field on Tuesday night. Here is everything you need to know to watch Game 2 of the series.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 pm EST. The game will air on SNY for TV and 710 WOR and ESPN Deportes for radio.
Left-hander Tommy Milone (1-2, 7.91 ERA, 28 K) will start for the Mets. Milone hasn’t pitched since May, when he made three starts for the Mets before going on the disabled list on May 24 with a sprained knee. The lefty went 0-2 with a 10.50 ERA in those three outings. He started 2017 with Milwaukee before New York claimed him off waivers. One of Milone’s three starts with the Mets earlier this season was in Arizona on May 16. He gave up five earned runs on six hits and three walks over 5 2/3 innings, striking out four. Milone is 0-2 with a 7.59 ERA in two career starts against the D-backs.
The D-backs will counter with left-hander Patrick Corbin (10-11, 4.25 ERA, 140 K). Corbin finished one out shy of a shutout in his last outing against Houston. The lefty is seeking to win three consecutive starts for the first time since July 2013. He currently owns a 16 1/3-innings scoreless streak.
