The Minnesota Timberwolves announced on Thursday that the team has signed guard Aaron Brooks.
Brooks, 32, played in 65 games last season with Indiana and averaged 5 points and 1.9 assists in 13.8 minutes per contest.
The nine-year veteran has played in 613 career games with Houston, Phoenix, Sacramento, Denver, Chicago and Indiana. Brooks owns career averages of 10.1 points on 41.3 percent shooting and 3.1 assists in 2.16 minutes per game, and has played in 38 playoff contests. He also spent one season with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association (2011-2012), and was named a CBA All-Star that year.
Minnesota now have the maximum of 17 players on their training camp roster.

Brooks — who was drafted by the Rockets as the 26th overall pick out of Oregon in 2007 — hasn’t averaged double digits in scoring since he was with the Bulls in 2014-2015. He shot 37.5 percent from long distance last season.
In 2010, Brooks won the Most Improved Player award with the Rockets after recording a career-high 19.6 points and 5.3 assists per game and 39.8 percent shooting clip from three-point range.
