Michigan At No. 3 Purdue Basketball (Jan. 25, 2018) Preview: Game Time Start, TV Channel Info

The Michigan Wolverines will visit the No. 3 Purdue Boilermakers on Thursday night, and here are all the facts to know before the big matchup.

Michigan vs. Purdue Basketball Preview

Purdue won at Michigan 70-69 on Jan. 9. Since then, the Boilermakers (19-2, 8-0 in Big Ten) have secured three more victories to push their win streak to 15. Second in their conference behind Ohio State, they are led by the defending co-Big Ten Player of the Week, Carsen Edwards, who is averaging a team-high 17.2 points per game along with 4.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

Over Purdue’s last four games, Edwards is averaging 19.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.3 steals while shooting 17-of-29 (.586) from long distance. He also has 19 assists against one turnover.

The Wolverines (17-5, 6-3 in ACC) are fourth in their conference. Michigan have won three of their last four, and boasted a seven-game win streak until their loss to Purdue.

Purdue also boasts a pair of seven-footers in Isaac Haas and Matt Haarms. 

The Boilermakers rank 10th in the nation in scoring defense, while the Wolverines rank 13th.

Michigan is the only team in the country with two players ranked in the Top 20 nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio; Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman ranks second and Zavier Simpson ranks 17th.

The Wolverines also lead the Big Ten and rank sixth nationally in fewest turnovers per game (9.8).
