Conor McGregor had an untimely injury in his UFC matchup against Dustin Porier, but the superstar and face of fighting is not letting the setback keep him down.
McGregor lodged his ankle and foot under himself when moving backward against Porier, leading to a gruesome-looking injury to his left leg. The injury forced a stoppage in the first round of the bout.
“Just out of the surgery room, everything went to plan, everything went perfect and I’m feeling tremendous. We’ve got six weeks on a crutch now and then we begin to build back,” McGregor said on social media.
