Last week, reports came out that billionaire Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban picked up troubled, and reportedly homeless, ex-NBA player Delonte West. Earlier this year there were unsettling videos of West getting arrested and in an out-of-mind state that caused many NBA players to express sadness and offer support to West. Cuban was the first person to actually show up.
Cuban reportedly picked West up at a gas station and reunited him with his mother for the purpose of getting West help with his issues. West is now reportedly in rehab in Florida. Shams Charania wrote, “Mark Cuban reached out to Delonte West’s mother, Delphina Addison, asking how he can help. Answer was simple: Find Delonte. Cuban did on Monday, waited with West until his mother arrived to hotel, and West finally took step many close to him have awaited: Entered rehab.”
