On Thursday, a man shot and wounded a woman and her daughter outside the Taylor Sportsplex near Detroit, Mich. He then shot and killed himself.
The identities of the involved parties still have not been released, but the mother and daughter were reportedly leaving a soccer practice. The Sportsplex facility is home to youth soccer and hockey, among other activities.
Police officers responded to reports of shots being fired and found the man dead when they arrived, according to Taylor Police Chief Mary Sclabassi. She also confirmed that the two victims were taken to the hospital and the motivation of the shooter was still unknown.
