In recent weeks, we have watched the NBA season crumble, due to the coronavirus. It all started with the childish antics of Utah Jazz center, Rudy Gobert, who seemed to set off a large chain reaction of league wide players and coaches becoming infected. As this has unfolded before us, the NFL has been in the background, planning out their strategies for the draft, pondering new, safe locations for the 2020 season, and letting the offseason free agent and trade markets move smoothly, which is about the only thing keeping fans interested right now. Unfortunately, the NFL’s nearly month-long, newsless streak has now ended, with Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen becoming the first league member to test positive.
Allen revealed that he had tested positive almost three weeks ago, and again, early last week.
Allen had numerous symptoms, including loss of smell and taste and the flu-like aches and pains. However, Allen is now symptom-free and feeling like he is over the hill.
The doctors predicted that he would regain his senses in about 6-8 weeks.

Coach Sean McVay commented on the 24-year old, former Michigan center’s case. “He is feeling good and on the road to recovery,” he said.
The Rams had shut down their facilities, just like every other organization, however, they have kept it open for medical. The Rams should be able to re-open their facilities for injured players in the coming week.
