LeBron James Rips Sleeves Of Jersey During Game in Frustration

The NBA has recently introduced short-sleeved shirts that players would wear if the game was on a nationally  televised game as part of a new deal between the NBA and Adidas that started in 2013. Players have announced their distaste for the jerseys for the fact that it is a distraction when they pull their arms up to the shooting position. A big opponent of the jerseys is Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, who stated that “every time I shoot it feels like it’s just pulling right up underneath my arm.”

For the first time this year, the Cavs donned the short-sleeved jerseys to show the first of three alternative designs the team has planned for in a game against the New York Knicks last night. Starting the night with a mere 4-for-10 shooting ratio from the field, James took it upon himself to fix the wardrobe problem by ripping the sleeves with his hands while running back on defense.

During the next available timeout, James was reported to have taken scissors to clean up the rips in order for his arms to be more free for the rest of the game. After the game, James was said to only have been frustrated with his shot hence why he ripped the sleeves and he does not mind the sleeved jerseys “here and there.”

James would finish the game with 23 points and helped the Cavaliers in a comeback win beating the Knicks 96-86.
