Josh Hart is known for being the New York Knicks’ shooting guard, bringing toughness, rebounding and relentless energy to the court. One of the most important figures in his life is his wife, Shannon Hart.
The couple’s relationship began before Hart became an NBA player. They met while attending Villanova University, where Hart developed into one of the top college basketball players in the nation. Their relationship continued through Hart’s rise, including his role on Villanova’s 2016 national championship team and his eventual selection in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.
Throughout Hart’s career—playing for the Lakers, Pelicans, Blazers and eventually the Knicks—Shannon has supported him at games and major career events.
The couple married in 2021 during a ceremony attended by family, friends and several of Hart’s former Villanova teammates. Since then, they have been one of the NBA’s most notable couples, often sharing family moments and interactions on social media.
Hart has explained in interviews the importance of family, crediting his wife for helping him navigate the challenges of playing professional sports. NBA players often face constant travel, pressure and public attention, and Hart has acknowledged the role his wife has played in helping him maintain stability away from basketball.
Hart helped to lead the Knicks to the NBA championship, and Shannon has remained a steady presence behind the scenes, celebrating victories and supporting him through the difficult stretches of a long season.
