Kansas State Basketball Suspends Nae’Qwan Tomlin After Alleged Bar Fight

Nae’Qwan Tomlin has been indefinitely suspended from Kansas State basketball following an arrest on Sunday over an alleged incident at a bar in Manhattan, Kansas. He was arrested at around 2 a.m.

Tomlin was charged with disorderly conduct, brawling or fighting. It isn’t clear what led to the incident or what specifically happened.

At Kansas State, Tomlin averaged 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds with the Wildcats last season. He helped Kansas State to a 26-10 record which saw the Wildcats get to the Elite Eight, where they lost to Florida Atlantic University.

Jerome Tang, the head basketball coach for the Kansas State Wildcats, spoke about the incident.

“I have indefinitely suspended Nae’Quan Tomlin for not living up to the expectations we require of our players. Although he is not with the team, he is still part of this family and we will do what we can to support him as he moves through this process,” Tang said in a statement.

Tang, who is entering his second season as head coach for Kansas State, opened their season against No. 21 USC in Las Vegas.
