On the red side of Manchester, Louis Van Gaal is getting results, even if they are coming in a less than exciting manner. Regardless of any success he may find, however, he has already conceded that he will leave the club after next season. That will force United to hire their third manager since 2013, when Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
They reportedly are interested in having either former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti or current Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri replace the Dutchman. Allegri, however, has already dismissed the rumors.
“I’m focused on objectives, which is more important than rumors,” he told reporters in Italy. “I have a contract here until 2017 and I am very happy to coach Juventus. I remain fully focused on achieving the very important targets that we have here.”
Allegri won Serie A title and Coppa Italia in addition to reaching the Champions League final with Juve last season; he has previously managed six other clubs, all in Italy, and won the league as the manager of A.C. Milan.
