UFC 272 may have ended, but Colby Covington and massive-deal-getter Jorge Masvidal apparently still have beef.
The latter has been charged with felony battery in connection with an altercation Monday. The victim, who had a tooth knocked out, wasn’t identified. However, Masvidal tagged Covington in a tweet and added, “You talk that s**t, you got to back it up. That’s how my city rolls, man.”
Video from the incident shows Covington, 34, saying: “He’s over here swinging, trying to come at me, and I ran … How would he know I’m here?”
The victim told police that he was sucker-punched twice—in the mouth and the left eye—by Masvidal, 37, whilst walking away from a restaurant prior to 11 p.m. During the attack, Masvidal allegedly said, “You shouldn’t have been talking about my kids.” Similar claims have been made by Masvidal on social media before.
