Following Cleveland Browns Quarterback Johnny Manziel’s alleged weekend getaway to Las Vegas, one potential alibi has surfaced: a traffic ticket.
According to several reports, Manziel was in fact in the Cleveland area and not in Vegas, at least in the morning. The QB was ticketed for driving with expired license plates.
Scott Taylor from WOIO-TV in Cleveland posted a photo of what appeared to be the court record showing the citation on Twitter Wednesday evening. As the photo shows, Manziel, aka “Johnny Football,” can either appear in court on Jan. 21 or pay $125 online to close the case.
Of course, Manziel could have easily hopped on a plane to Vegas for a wild night of partying, but Taylor followed up his first tweet with a second one confirming the QB was present at Browns HQ in Berea, Ohio on Saturday night, when allegations of the Vegas escapade began appearing on Twitter.
