Jimmy Graham Catches Two TDs As Seahawks Beat Bills 31-25

Jimmy Graham needed only one hand to catch two first-half touchdown passes from Russell Wilson, and the Seattle Seahawks held off a late rally for a 31-25 home victory over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night.

Jimmy Graham Catches Two TDs As Seahawks Beat Bills 31-25

The Seahawks (5-2-1) won their 11th consecutive Monday night game thanks to a great performance from their tight end. Still less than a year removed from a major knee injury, Graham caught a 17-yard touchdown from Wilson with his right hand on the first play of the second quarter, and later used the same arm to snag an 18-yard TD pass in the final moments of the first half.

Seattle had to hold on during the final seconds as Buffalo quarterback Tyrod Taylor guided the Bills (4-5) inside the Seattle 10. Taylor was sacked by Cliff Avril on third-and-goal from the 8 and on fourth-and-goal, Taylor’s pass into the end zone fell incomplete.

LeSean McCoy, who missed the Bills’ Week 8 loss to the New England Patriots with a hamstring injury, also made a big play when he stunned Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman with a juke move.

McCoy took a handoff and flaunted his incredible change-of-direction ability, juking out Sherman so bad that he spun around.

There was also some controversy regarding officiating during the game. It began over whether Sherman should have been penalized for unnecessary roughness against Bills kicker Dan Carpenter, led to several minutes of confusion and then a missed 54-yard field goal by Carpenter at the end of the first half.

Bills coach Rex Ryan and his team were evidently upset.

“Ridiculous,” Ryan said after the game. “Absolutely ridiculous. [Officials’ explanation] doesn’t matter [because] it was wrong. It’s clear what happened: The guy roughed our kicker. Jumps offside and roughs our kicker.”

The Bills will next have a bye and then visit the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Nov. 20. The Seahawks will next visit the Patriots on Sunday.
