Originally, it was feared that Silva was knocked out during a sparing session, but he claims he will be good to go.

“I was never knocked out in sparring,” Silva told TMZ Sports. “I misspoke in that interview as I sometimes do when interviewing in English and exaggerated the normal back-and-forth action that occurs in sparring. This sparring session I referenced was in early September. The interview with MMA Weekly was done on Sept. 13 and, for some reason, just released this week. So, it wasn’t recent.”

Paul in his boxing career remains a perfect 5-0 in his boxing career, with most of his wins coming against former UFC fighters.

In his last fight, the 25-year-old knocked out former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

However, Silva has something that the other former UFC fighters don’t have – and that’s boxing experience.

The 47-year-old, who had 10 belt defenses in the UFC, is 3-1 in his boxing career.

In 2021, SIlva had two fights including one against retired MMA fighter Tito Ortiz.

But the one issue that comes into play is the age disparity between Paul and Silva.

Paul is more than 20 years younger and it will be interesting to see if Silva has enough left in the gas tank to hang with him

While Silva originally opened up as the favorite the Odds have swung in favor of Paul.

According to Caesars, Silva is now +220 undergod.

  • Le’Veon Bell vs. Uriah Hall
