J.J. Redick is not happy with the Los Angeles Clippers this offseason. In fact, he blatantly called out his team for losing DeAndre Jordan to the Dallas Mavericks.
The former Duke player, who has been with the Clippers over the last two seasons, felt re-signing Jordan to a long-term extension was important to maintain team chemistry. And by losing him, he think the Clips deserve an ‘F’ for their free agency performance.
“F. Listen, we had one priority this summer, and that was to resign DJ… Barring some miracle, the makeup of our team is completely different now, he was such an integral part of what we did,” Redick told Bleacher Report Radio. “Missing out and having him leave for Dallas gives us a failing grade.”
Redick does have a valid point. Though Jordan had his problems with shooting free throws, he did take some heat off of Chris Paul and, more so, Blake Griffin. With those three men on the court, who do you cover?

And that is why, the Clippers are allegedly making one last push to get DeAndre Jordan back before Thursday’s deadline, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
DeAndre struck a verbal agreement with the Mavericks last week, but he seems to be having second thoughts. Though Dallas offered him a max 4-year, $80-plus million contract, Doc Rivers, Steve Ballmer, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul allegedly flew down to Houston to talk him out of it, according to Ramona Shelburne’s sources.
And while teams very rarely try to poach players after they strike a verbal agreement, sources close to Jordan told ESPN that he is still “unsure” about going to Dallas.
Needless to say, the next few hours are going to be crucial for either team. Will DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul make up — allegedly their strained relationship was why he left — or will he go through with his deal with the Mavs?
