The New York Giants have finally received good news just one week after suffering a plethora of setbacks.
The team announced Tuesday that cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie’s suspension is over, and that he will return to the Giants’ training facility after Tuesday’s off day. The 31-year-old defenseman — who had been with New York since 2014 — was originally suspended “indefinitely” following an argument he got into with coach Ben McAdoo in the aftermath of the Week 5 home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. This followed the loss of several wide receivers, including Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Harris, to season-ending injuries.
The Giants (1-5) defeated the Denver Broncos 23-10 at Sports Authority Field on Sunday for their first victory of the season.
McAdoo’s team next hosts the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, and stay at home again on Nov. 5 to face the Los Angeles Rams.

Rodgers-Cromartie has been the Giant’s best cornerback this season, despite playing fewer snaps than Eli Apple and Janoris Jenkins.
Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo previously said that Rodgers-Cromartie “has been great” and confirmed he has had no problems with him.
Cornerback Donte Deayon was called up from the practice squad and started in place of Rodgers-Cromartie at nickel cornerback in Week 6.
In other NFL news, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is set to undergo surgery after taking a hit from Anthony Barr in the first quarter of Sunday’s 23-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis. Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone, and his season could be over.
