NFL teams held moments of silence in stadiums across the country before kickoff Sunday in honor of Hall of Fame coach and legendary broadcaster John Madden—and the tributes even extended to the league’s broadcasts.
FOX, Madden’s network for eight of his 30 broadcasting seasons, honored him with a silhouette of his face in the top right corner—where the network’s logo usually resides.
FOX announcers also wore jackets honoring Madden during Sunday’s games.
Some players even wore Madden-inspired cleats.
