Former NBA star Etan Thomas found himself vexed after a woman on a train denied him the empty seat next to her.
According to an article by Rawstory, Thomas asked a woman if he could sit next to her, to which she responded that someone was already sitting in that seat.
The former Washington Wizards center and power forward shrugged it off and moved on, but then noticed a white man walk up to her and ask her the same question. The woman said yes, moved her stuff from the seat and let him sit down.
Thomas, 38, clearly and understandably didn’t appreciate the gesture, so he proceeded to confront the woman.

“I ask ummmmm did you just not want ME to sit next to you? Were you scared? Not comfortable with a Black Man sitting next to you?” Thomas said, according to Rawstory.
Thomas then took to Facebook to complain about the incident, and even included a photo of the woman looking down at her tablet while the man sitting next to her awkwardly looks at the camera.
The woman then called the train conductor to scold Thomas for taking a photo of her. Unfortunately for her, the conductor was a fan of Thomas.
He didn’t say where the incident took place or what train line he was on.
Thomas played for the Wizards from 2001-2009 after being drafted as the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2000 NBA Draft out of Syracuse. He also played one season with the Oklahoma City Thunder and one season with the Atlanta Hawks.
