Fan Catches Foul Ball In Beer Cup At Padres’ Stadium, Then Chugs Drink [VIDEO]

One fan at Tuesday night’s game between the San Diego Padres and the Atlanta Braves at Petco Park got lucky and ended up on camera after a fun moment.

Foul Ball At Padres Game Lands In Fan’s Beer

Early in the game, a young woman caught a foul ball — that flew high up in the stands behind home plate — in her beer cup and proceeded to stand up and raise her drink while everyone at the stadium cheered. Delighted, she then chugged her beer while keeping the ball in the cup and again put her drink in the air before dancing in celebration.

The Padres ultimately lost the game 14-1, but the fan definitely was at the center of a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

San Diego defeated the Braves 3-1 on Wednesday, the finale of a three-game series. The Padres (29-35) are fifth in the NL West and seem doomed to miss the playoffs for the 12th straight year.

The Padres next visit Miami on Friday at 7:10pm EST for a three-game series against the Marlins.
