Erin Andrews Cries During Emotional Testimony In Lawsuit Against Stalker Michael David Barrett

Erin Andrews took the stand on Tuesday for the second consecutive day against Nashville Marriott and her stalker, Michael David Barrett.  The FOX College Football Host and Dancing with the Stars host delivered an emotional testimony about how the video of her recorded by Barrett that shows her nude in her hotel room, has impacted her relationships.

Before going on her first date with Minnesota Wild center Jarret Stoll, she said all she could think about was, “Has he seen the video? Has his friends seen the video?”

Andrews is suing for $75 million and claims that the Nashville Marriott could’ve prevented Barrett’s actions.  He had requested the dates Andrews was staying at the hotel and subsequently requested the adjacent room. Barrett was then able to alter the peephole between the rooms to record the sportscaster, and the uploaded it to the Internet, where it went viral.

Andrews said that she isn’t the type of girl most men would go after because she comes with a lot of “baggage” and “drama.” When addressing her current relationship with Stoll, she doesn’t mention him explicitly but tells the court, “I feel really guilty [Stoll] didn’t know me before this happened and to try to explain to someone who has questions about why I have trust issues, why I’m insecure, why I’m embarrassed; he doesn’t understand,” she said.

As she tried to hold back tears she continued by saying Stoll doesn’t understand the impact it has had on her life, “I feel sad because I think he would have loved the girl more that was there before this happened and I feel very guilty about that I want to be the cool sports reporter, Dancing With the Stars host. I don’t want him to see this.”

You can see Andrews’ full testimony from Monday below, she talks about her personal relationships at the 28:00 mark

Barrett was arrested on October 2, 2009 and was sentenced to 30 months in prison on March 15, 2010. He was released in July of 2012.
